One Man and One Woman

The Lambeth Conference of 1988 voted to suspend twenty centuries of Christian tradition and practice, to allow some Africans to Baptize male polygamists without forcing them to "put away" all but one of their wives.

Does this undermine Holy Matrimony which self styled Traditionalists say is for "One Man and One Woman"?

Why are these "Traditionalists" silent on polygamy but vocal on same-sex unions? Is it because polygamy is a third world issue and the "Traditionalists" need the African Bishops to help them overthrough the church their ordination vows require them to support?

Same-sex union requires the church only to broaden its gender restrictions on Matrimony but polygamy requires the recognition of more than two partners to Holy Matrimony. In what sense can this arrangement be said to encompass "two in one flesh"?

Who did you say is attempting to undermine Holy Matrimony?
